Yeah no. Mitch Marner is much much more valuable than those plugs. This doesnt make the team better

Seattle's pick is likely top 10 or better. Matthews has shown numerous times (this year, rookie year, others) that he can play with two random middle 6 forwards and still dominate. Gives some elite depth, a real shutdown 3rd line that you could match up against top lines, etc. Not saying we need to trade Marner but if by that season they havent made a push and want to shake it up, this would give more depth. Not to mention the fact that all these "plugs" are on pace for 55-60 points on a bottom feeder team
