Scandella is kind of in the same boat as Vancouver's entire right-side of defense when it comes to questionable value

With Myers, Hamonic, and Poolman's contracts, you're right, certainly none of those three are by any means what we'd call "bargain" prices, but none of them are back breaking. I know this might be the unpopular thing to say, but I can honestly see all three of these contracts just being ridden out naturally. Jim Benning never really managed to pick up any top quality defensemen through free agency or trade, nor did he draft many defensive prospects, but he's gone now, so that could totally get rectified going forward

Exactly that’s my point if you guys get Scandella his contract ends the same year and you get more picks to draft dman in stacked drafts to me it makes sense
