Quoting: VADRfromTRR
I may be young but I don't report people. I am just saying if they trade DeSmith, (not likely anymore) i personally don't care what we get back, if its a goalie, ok. If its a prospect ok. What I meant by that statement is, we have Louis Domingue in the system who has proven himself as a capable backup as well. My bad.
I think this is where you're being a bit naive/short-sighted. The Pens have this year and maybe next to try and go deep in the playoffs. Having a quality experienced back-up is more important than people think. For years we saw Fleury get burned out because he played far too many games which was because the Pens didn't have great back-ups. While Jarry may ultimately be a Vezina finalist this year, he still has something to prove and they need to ensure he doesn't get burned out. Domingue might be a good answer, but the Pens are better served by having a more experienced back-up, so the experience does matter.
Assuming Domingue is that guy is not wise IMO.
