Obviously Radulov is 35 and sucks now. He is a cap dump. Contract is up after this season. Stars will have money free after this season.

Yeah, it's the perfect trade for MTL. It's garbage for DAL. You want a pick and a prospect and an expiring contract to dump a contract? First MTL should be paying the pick and prospect. Second Dallas already has a few overpaid under performing forwards. Third Dallas is going to use that cap space a lot more wisely.

If I am not mistaken they have Pavelski coming off the books at 7 mill, Radulov at 6.5 with prettt much only Klingberg to sign probably at an increase of 3 mill.

The fact that you just called Gallagher “dumping a contract” let’s me know that you don’t know your hockey and your opinion means nothing.

LOL. You're paying a 3rd liner 6.5 M a year, a contract that was given for past performance. It is a contract dump. You're trying to trade a player to clear cap space. 7th on the team in ice time, consistently injured, over payed for production. That's exactly what this trade is.

But hey, you just keep doing you and live in your dream world.

Bwuahaha. No we wouldn’t be trading him to “clear cap space” we’re trading him because he doesn’t want to be in Mtl for a rebuild. He’s 29 in his prime and will want to go to a winning team. He’s scored or been on pace for 30 goals 4 years in a row while not playing with a legit first line centre any of those seasons. He is top 10 in even strength goals in the whole league over that time, he has more even strength goals than Pastrnak over those 4 years, he averaged 1.5 even strength goals per 60 which is .1 goals per 60 less than Ovechkin over that time. Does he play 21 minutes a night? No, but he gets his 30 without it and without a 1st line centre. This is the “3rd liner” you speak of? Man I think you’re trolling me but I cant tell lmao.

Don't get me wrong, I like Gallagher both as a person and a player, but he spends too much time on the IR and has too high of a cap hit. You can say all you want that he scores on a 30 goal pace, but pace means nothing. You have to be in the lineup to score. If he was that good, he'd be playing with the top center on the team, esp considering the entire team is underperforming.

He does play with the top centre on the team every one of those 4 years I just mentioned. That centre happened to be Danault. His cap hit is fine, his comparables contract wise are Chris Kreider, Zuccerello, Van Riemsdyk, Jaden Schwartz and Anders Lee. He’s just as good if not better than all of them. You can’t just look at hockeyDB to judge a player… Hes missed a combined 35 games over the last 5 seasons including this one. That’s 35 games of a possible 315 games… you’re acting like he’s never on the ice lol. He misses about as much time as the average player in the league. You tried to make him out to be a 3rd line bum, you tried to make him seem injury prone neither worked so what is next? Just stop.. GM’s for winning teams who have the cap space free after this season will be fighting to get their hands on a player like Gally. He is a coaches dream.
