Soo the Bruins give up Debrusk and a 5th for a 3rd round pick? Why on earth would the Bruins grab Rooney who is older with a lower ceiling than DeBrusk and fills absolutely no need the Bruins have?

Idk, I don’t think Debrusk is really worth anything. But I saw the rangers were interested so I just made a random trade

He has more value than the offer and even people that don't watch much hockey will know that. Not to mention this offers the Bruins nothing.

The numbers he put up last season were not good, and plus his contact. Debrusk is a 3rd line winger, your not going to get anything special for him.

Bruins will keep vs getting trash like Rooney - all of Providence is better than Rooney. He has fallen out of favour with the coaching staff and they are looking to move him, but they aren't going to accept a bag of pucks and move a pick to make it happen
