Hes not worth 6m...but 4-5m sure he is. Guy still logs a lot of minutes, PKs, etc while still an excellent skater for his size. If Suter can get 4m aav as a 36 year old UFA, EJ would get that same contract if he was hitting the market this offseason.

EJ was rare at the time of the draft, you dont get guys as big as he is, as good of a skater who was good offensively as he was defesnively and a RHS. He had every part of his game teams drool over. Now its a big more common to see that tool set in prospects like Owen Power etc but at the time, he was unique.
