Description

So i think its time for some of these players to step up. Take Marner away from Matthews and tell the big money guys you need to drive your own line, once they start working hard again then see if they deserve to play together. they seem like they are waiting for hyman to come in and do all the work again. Ritchie is just to slow for that line, and not near aggressive enough so send him to the 4th to learn for the old dogs. kase and kerfoot are always playing hard so try them with matthews and marner on the 3rd to still have the "shut down" line and add some scoring chances.

you are right it is a team game and they dont seem to be putting in the effort, the 4th line plays the hardest and are not the highest skilled. maybe marner needs to play on a line where he needs to be the shooter so he can have more of an opportunity, instead of always looking for matthews.

Gotta keep the big boys together and they need to figure things out and get going in a hurry. Lost the heartbeat of the team letting Hyman walk. As an oiler fan can’t thank leafs enough for that.

i wish we could have kept him but it was not a reality especially with the term he was given. that contract will be great for the oilers for the first 3-4 seasons the last 3-4 will be rough, but i honestly hope he ends up playing like spezza at the end of his career and keeps it going but i dont think he will.

so i moved the top players from each other and replaced with guys who will work harder. i didnt take the top players away and all the skill
