What more chance does he need? To be stapled next to Panarin for the next 5 years to try and prove himself. While Kakko has not been a prolific scorer, dude learned how to improve his two way game tremendously. If Kravtsov couldn’t find a way to be effective at the moment wouldn’t it be better for him to spend more time in the AHL developing and improving. Look at Jones and how well he played and he got sent down. Didn’t complain, but is going to put in work and get a spot (honestly would love to get rid of Miller and bring up Jones to play with Trouba). Barron has been great in the AHL but took the assign,met without complaining. It’s a terrible precedent to set that you’ll give players positions they have not earned.
