That backcheck steal on Formenton during the PP might have been his best play of the night and he had 4 points. What a player!

I haven't looked back at everything I missed in this thread, sorry if it's been discussed, but what are you all thinking about spreading the wealth a center with Point-Stamkos-Cirelli making up the top 3 centers?

It didn't seem to be as good as what's already been working when Coop tried it for a couple of games, I like the lines of Killer-Cirelli-Stammer & Joseph-Colton-Raddysh better than Killer-Stammer-Joseph & Colton-Cirelli-Raddysh. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Feel like that would be a hefty price to acquire him, but id be for it.

Yeah at face value it doesn't seem to have improved either lines scoring, but I haven't dug into the advanced stats to see if there's anything there either.

We'd have him for 2.25 seasons, so if he performs a steep price at his low AAV would be gold for us. I'd imagine Rutta would need to be traded to make the numbers work, and that creates another need on the blue line.

I feel like he might be a better fit over those 2.25 years than Colton? Thoughts? Hagel 23 Colton 25.

Colton has proven himself to be a versatile forward. And if we don't intend on keeping Point, Cirelli, and Stamkos on separate lines, there's not an obvious candidate outside of Colton for the 3C role. The extra year is nice though since we probably cannot afford a sizeable next contract on either of them.

It would likely have to be something like ABB, Rutta and 1st. Likely adding more on top of that as well.

Think the price may be worth it with such a low AVV and that first round pick likely being in the 30's.

On a side point, I'm not watching the game right now but it seems to be a feisty one!

It is feisty and other than that the Lightning have been terrible.

I have decided that I definitely do not want to play the Penguins in the playoffs. They seem to bring the worst out of us. Tonight and the season opener have probably been the 2 worst games of the season.

I agree, Katchouck's defensive metrics have been much better too.

Even putting Raddysh on a line with Cirelli doesn't seem to have done much. I'm sure Katchouk is itching to play again. Could provide the team a little jolt.

Agreed. Love Raddysh, but he just hasn't been producing lately, and as mentioned, Katchouk has also been better defensively. Give the guy a shot.

We can say everything about all the good passes shots etc. But the screen by Perry on the Sergy goal was as perfect a screen you would find.
