It was just one of those nights, half the D was missing and it showed, Lagace wasn't good at all but it's not all on him, Panthers had an abundance of spectacular chances, and made the Lightning pay. Just forget about this one, get Vasi back in net and move on.
(If Vasi is indeed asymptomatic, he-along with Sergachev-will be eligible to come back tomorrow against the Rangers)

Sergachev ready to play tonight, as is Sustr. Also, Kucherov and Cernak participated in the morning skate, both wearing regular jerseys. However, Alnefelt was the only goalie on the ice.

Elliott is practicing separate from the team with Lalonde. Not sure what's going on.

Brian Elliott needs to sit down and watch any edition of Dangle's Dang-Its (specifically this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8HJ_N5q6Zk8). That was pathetic-he did it not once, but TWICE IN THE SAME GAME-the first one was literally such a perfect pass to Lafreniere that he ONE-TIMED IT into the net, the second one-what the flip?! What are you thinking, a cross ice-pass is ALWAYS a bad idea, but when you have a teammate RIGHT IN THE NEUTRAL ZONE IN FRONT OF YOU-what the heck? The irony was that aside from those errors, Elliott was actually not bad in net-the one clean goal he gave up was a beautiful deflection by Goodrow, nothing he could do about it.
I cannot BELIEVE the Lightning scored with the net empty AGAIN-that's their sixth 6th attacker goal to tie the game in the final minutes this year, and Perry has 3 OF THEM. Insanity. Overall, the offense was decent, perfect bullets of one timers from Stammer and then Colton, plus the Perry goal, and they rang iron twice (AGAIN).
Overall, pretty decent game, especially considering that Vasi, Kuch, Cirelli, Cernak, (not to mention both Bogosian and Foote) were out, if Elliott doesn't make those mistakes they probably get two points out of it. Hopefully Vasi starts tomorrow.
