I think that is a massive overpayment for John Marino. If you proposed this trade following right after his rookie season, maybe I'd give it some thought, but after last season which was undeniably a sophomore slump, I think that is a hard no from Vancouver. I think Jack Rathbone alone would be enough to get Marino, and that would still mean hoping Marino bounces back in a big way. Obviously Tyler Motte is hurt right now, DiPietro is actually a pretty valuable goalie prospect, not as valuable as guys like Devon Levi or Spencer Knight, but still pretty valuable. As much skepticism as there has been around Tucker Poolman, I don't think the Canucks are at all inclined to trade him at this point. He's looked pretty good in the preseason playing with Oliver Ekman-Larsson, not to mention Jim Benning said twelve teams were vying for Poolman at the beginning of free agency, so Vancouver may be onto something by picking him up, and it's not like his contract is a back breaker the way OEL's is if he struggles

Rathbone's upside > Marino

DiPietro's upside + his cost control which we will need for a backup > Marino

I really like Marino btw, but I have watched those 2 play and this would be selling low for no reason.

Quite frankly, I don't think I could have said it any better myself
