Something will happen with Dylan Strome and Henrik Borgstrom. What will happen? It depends on how they play.

As for the team above. Connolly should be waived and sent to Rockford imo. I'd like to see Stillman get time on the 3rd pair with DeHaan. He's a young guy still learning the NHL. IMO, nothing wrong with taking your time and developing slowly. He's on a 3 year deal anyway. I'd actually put Kalynuk on the top line with Seth Jones. He won the #1 LD job last year with Murphy and was the best skater. It will be a competition for that spot, but I think he'll win it over Caleb Jones and Beaudin. McCabe with Murphy as a dominant shutdown pair.

Only thing I expect to change is Carpenter in for Nylander. Colliton loves having Carpy on the 4RW and penalty kill. Could also see Gaudette in for Borgstrom or Strome depending on Pre-season games.

Call me crazy but I don't see them starting Borgstrom on 4th line as I think they're gonna want to set him up to be successful so could see him on 3rd line wing or *hear me out* 1st line C with Cat & Kane. Now just cuz he's listed as 1st line C doesn't mean he'd play that much, more just he gets opportunity with skilled guys to see what he can do. Obviously I'd like to see Dach there but having him eat up 3rd line competition could be great for his development.

I'm excited for how many different options at forward we have. I think the competition is really gonna help this team achieve success. Defense is no slouch either with a bunch of guys battling for those left side spots. Healthy competition is exactly what we need, just hope we don't lose anyone on waivers.
