Why would they trade Kane for picks if they are trying to become a contender instead of a rebuild team. Kane is their best forward, they arent shopping him nor are they looking to dump him. If they trade him its for a player that helps immediately. Also GMTM was very open about teams not giving him an offer for Kuli or Franson. So yes they should have traded them, but it takes 2 teams to make a deal. McCormick is also done for his career. Gorges is not a top pairing dman, Larsson is done for the season, Moulson is a 4th liner, and Reinhart is Eichels RW

Jeez we got some real critcs in the comments eh? I really don't think my propositions are that ridiculous that my GMing warrants a one star...I'd like to see one of you do better.

Judging by the reactions, I'm guessing there was a trade of Kane for a 2nd a 5th. The others are right, that is selling Kane short even if he may or may not have off ice issues etc. If you had to associate a value to Buffalo with Kane and a value to Buffalo minus Kane but with the two picks, I'd say your better off with Kane.
