Missing a lot here actually. Kronwall probably terminally injured. Russo, sproul, bertuzzi, nosek, frk all require waivers and are expected to make a push on team. Mcilrath also if resigned. All ahead in pecking order over smith who is still in chl and sadowy who has struggled to even stay on griffins roster. i.e. Franson signing makes no sense even with trading green just adds another 4-8 defensman to a team with a logjam of them. Same with pokka trade, unless Detroit decides he's as good as a guy like Theodore or fleury whom i presume they will target with Tatar and nyquist. Even tho I don't mind it. I also doubt we go for vanek. Doesn't fit into "the rebuild"
