This was for next year, but good to know. Is he center or are they putting Schenn there??

My guess in that Ghost and his agent won't want to burn 2 years of his UFA eligibility with that contract. He's more likely to get a 3 year bridge deal

We will see, but that contract compares to McDonaugh, Muzzin, Brodin, Josi, Faulk, Larsson, Klefbom, Scandella, Gardiner, Schultz, Maatta, and Savard so I wouldn't rule it out. Plus he hasn't played near as many games as any of those players and scores at very similar career PPG. All those players received contracts between 4-4.7 and are all within two years of age in signing them under the new CBA. The Flyers should avoid trying to do a bridge deal and just go long-term. Plus he is still young enough that he will get a raise after that deal that ends when he is 28.
