LOL

LOL pretty much sums up the entire Sabres organization. They're on rebuild number 5 or 6, their star player wants out and their 1st rounder and #1OA pick has chosen to go back to school vs play for Buffalo this year. Owen becomes just the 2nd #1OA pick in the last 15yrs to not make the jump to the NHL immediately after being drafted. Now its a waiting game to see how long until Dahlin wants out....another stud pick by the Sabres that the Sabres are going to let waste away.

the Sabres organization under Pegula*
Also, A. I was laughing with you on the Ullmark thing, I fully believe you. B. Power going back to college this year is universally seen as a positive for his growth, C. thats how bad the draft was this year when the #1 pick still isnt NHL ready D. with Eichel gone, were in a completely new era so the work of Adams and Granato will be solely responsible for Dahlin, Cozens, and Power's, etc,, perception of the franchise. If theyre good everyone will pretend they didnt make comments like these too which will be hilarious.

Power could contribute this year, but I think he realizes it's better for him to go back and play in a winning atmosphere. There really isn't anything for him to gain by going pro this year (outside of getting to his 2nd contract faster), so it makes sense. I expect him to sign after this season, but if he doesn't....well then things can get interesting. I know Buffalo doesn't want to move Eichel, just to move him....but it's almost an addition by subtraction situation. While I joke that Buffalo has done 5-6 rebuilds, they've never really done a true rebuild. They've brought in talent, but no guys that set the tone to help cultivate a winning atmosphere. They lack leadership and glue guys imo, but the tough part is finding those guys who are willing to be part of a rebuild

Vladar was traded. That being said. This doesn’t solve any needs for Boston.

Well never mind then

I'm not sure why Edmonton would be interested in DeBrusk, he's not big & physical and doesn't play the 2-way game that Edmonton seems to be targeting recently (Hyman, Foegele). Honestly Holloway is better than DeBrusk right now and millions cheaper.

I agree it’s unlikely, although if you move Hyman to the right and use Holloway/Nuge interchangeably at 3C, that is the deepest top 9 the Oilers have had in a long time. Don’t think the money is there long-term.
