That Duchene trade is terrible man, what do the Avs get out of that? Giving up their Best D prospect and Top C for lesser and older players and some mid round picks.

Bigras is not there best D prospect. And they are essentially getting a 2nd round pick. A second pairing NHL D man, a second line center and upgrades of two of their other picks. It's not what the avs want but I do t think anyone is going to pay the price they are asking for. Everyone says their asking price is crazy for a reason. It's because it is. This is a fair trade for a player that has underperformed this year.

This is a garbage offer and you know it. Methot is 31, Brassard is 29. Dutchy is 25 and Bigras 21.

Avs are not interesting in a fair trade, they are asking it for a reason bc thats the cost to pry Dutchy away from them. They aren't shopping him, they are listening to offers for him with a very specific value in place. If a team wants Duchene thats the price. If not they keep him. Thats as simple as it gets. FWIW the cost that Sens have apparently been talking to the Avs about according to Avs beat writers are 2017 1st, Ceci, White, and another prospect. You Might not be shopping him but you better start shopping someone or making some bigger moves cause no one on the Aves is earning their money and it wont be long before players start to ask for trades and when that happens you lose a lot of bargaining power as it is Duchene for sure wont resign for you.
