I like them

My Initial thought was
1st PP
Suzuki: RHD Area (use his wicked wrister)
Caufield: Left Dot
Anderson: Net Front
Toffoli: Bumper
Petry: Top

2nd PP:
Drouin: LHD Area (Good for seam passes and 1 timers)
Hoffman: RH Dot
Gallagher: Net front
Kotkaniemi: Bumper
Romanov: Top

Very Unlikely but this is mine if Norlinder Plays
1st PP
Hoffman : Right Dot
Caufield: Left Dot
Anderson : Net Front
Suzuki : Bumper
Petry : Top

2nd PP:
Drouin: RHD Dot/Bumper (Good for seam passes)
Toffoli : LH Dot/Net Front
Gallagher : Bumper/Net front
Norlinder : RHD
Romanov: LHD

Depending on Scenario the Roles will Rotate for where the play on ice is

The 1st PP unit is great, and I’m sure that’s consensus about what it will be among habs fans.

For the 2nd unit, Hoffman on the right side is a lock. Everyone else can move around.

Drouin is fine on the left side, although if he continues to not be a shooting threat, it might not be the best place for him. IMO he’ll likely end up as the QB or the net-side playmaker on the 2nd unit.

It doesn’t seem like the habs think Romanov is ready to be a PP QB, and I’m on the fence. If Romanov doesn’t play QB, Drouin (or Wideman if he’s in the lineup) will.

Kotkaniemi is a fine bumper, but IMO he’d be better where he can use both his shot and passing abilities on the left side.

Anderson I honestly hate on the PP. He’s only really dangerous on the rush, and I think he just drags down any man advantage he’s on. Armia is a better passer, and is just more flexible making him way better suited for the bumper or net front spot. However I understand that Armia over Anderson isn’t very realistic, so while I hope it’s Armia, I think it will be Anderson.

When Perreault is in the lineup he’ll be playing bumper on the 2nd unit, but he’ll likely be the 13th forward on opening night.

So my 2nd PP options would be:
Drouin
Kotkaniemi - Armia/Anderson - Hoffman
Romanov

Anderson
Kotkaniemi - Armia - Hoffman
Drouin

Not using the 1-3-1 is bold, but maybe not very effective. IMO if Norlinder makes the team he’ll just take Romanov’s spot as the 2nd unit QB.

Yeah 1-3-1 is always the option but for a team that really doesn't have the entrance guy for both lines I think PP2 could be used to try and keep the play in the offensive zone, with 1-3-1 it's hard to sometimes keep the puck in and we had troubles entering the zone when petry wasn't on the ice.

But at the end of the day it'll be 1-3-1 and thats okay with me

Sure they’d keep the zone, but they wouldn’t be ver effective at what you need to do on a PP: score. The proposed PP would be phenomenal on a 5-on-3, but with 4 defenders you likely won’t be able to distance players from Toffoli or make a cross ice pass well enough that he can get the shot away before the goalie gets there. And you’ll have a hard time feeding Gallagher with Drouin so close to the D. Your only consistent chances you’ll be able to get are shots from Norlinder/Romanov and those are low danger chances anyways.

Yeah, I just like the Idea of Romanov and Norlinder playing tears of joy
