Take out Stanley, Niku and the 3rd from Winnipeg and up the pick from Detroit to a 2nd.

I love Copp for Rasmussen and a 2nd but didn't think Detroit would do this.

Rasmussen is Top 10 pick signed to bridge deal and expires RFA. 6'6" two-way player with potential to play anywhere in your line-up. Just thought it would take a lot more to get someone like that from the Jets perspective.

Would be thrilled if the return was Rasmussen and a 2nd.

I can see a rass for copp base as a deal but I cant see them moving stanley.

Detroit declines.

1. Stanley is of no use to Detroit, we already have 8 defenders penned in for next year.

2. Niku is #9 on your depth chart. If we want him we will put in a waiver claim when the season starts.

3. Rasmussen is not for sale. Detroit is looking to get younger and won't trade a 22 year old prospect for a 26 year old semi-veteran.
