Description
Boston needs a second center. This gives the Rangers better depth down the middle if something can't be worked out with Zib. (Zib is 1 of my favorites). Haula wins faceoffs but could be moved to save money for Zib/Fox. Try to extend Zib now. If Nils does very well, you have a decision to make with Fox next year. Can't have Fox/Trouba/Nils all on the right side at $8+ each. I think Fox/Nils could be similar players. Fox has proved he can, even though just a year, can Nils,? I do think that's a pretty good forward group.
Rangers fans will say this is to much to give for Eichel. Buffalo will say this isn't even close to retain if they do at all. I'm fine not going the Eichel route and seeing what a tougher lineup and a new coach do then make changes in season if needed from there.

Would imagine Bs jump on that. Haula was just signed but he’s a bad bottom 6 center, a prospect who seems a likely bust at this point or at least not more than a fourth liner and a late second? Strome is a good 2C fill in for Krejci.

Mostly depth players for this team. Who are you taking out in the top 9 or top 4 d to put them in on the Rangers? Buffalo is a different story. They actually get a chance to play

If you look at Stromes stats before the Rangers and now playing with Bread man, Haula is a similar player. I don't need him to replace Strome just be good for 3C. Without bread man does Strome produce at the same rate? Plus Rangers traded Buchnevich for a bottom 6 winger and a second sooooo......

I would imagine buffalo would be looking for good players instead. Almost certainly just forwards and maybe a rhd

I think the problem the Rangers have is the current top 9 is either recent 1and2 picks or players with ntc. I did include 1 in Kravstov and 3 other forwards, a d with power play ability and multiple picks. Who knows where things are going. Fans always value their own prospects higher because they are more familiar with them. PS. I was in Buffalo last week. Been there several times. First time though for Duff's wings. Pretty good. Next time, Anchor Bar

Anchor is overrated, duffs is my favorite. Lanovas bbq are also very good. And I couldn't possibly get into NYC food, but my sister in law lives there and she brings us - no chewing allowed- chocolates. Pretty awesome.

I actually am in upstate NY myself, outside of Binghamton. Just like the Rangers. Not a big fan of the city though. Would never live there 🤫

I get it - Haula is pretty bad tho. Don’t think he’s an effective 3C, maybe a sheltered 4C at this point. He’s lost a couple of steps with injuries and the metrics back up the eye test. I just don’t think he’s a good player anymore.
