They Flyers have no use for Pateryn whose signed through next season as we're trying to clear bodies off the blue line as it is. Realistically we could just trade Streit (with 50% cap retained) and Bellemare for the 2nd pick (though that might be generous on the Flyers part). If we're taking cap dump (Desharnais) as well the price would be more picks (additional 3rd's / 4th's I'd guess).

We have Myers coming through who is supposedly ready but will probably be in the AHL next year, we also have Sanheim who's really likely to be in the NHL next year playing right at the moment. Having a 3rd pair guy being a righty isn't a massive deal, it's certainly not worth taking a roster spot from one of the prospects. If we're talking Shattenkirk or at least a top 4 contributor maybe but not a guy with 13 career points.

I wouldn't give it a 1 star like above but I'll be honest if we could get PEBs and Streit for just a 2nd I'd take that. You can keep the extra body lol. I mean it's not a bad deal to begin with like the flyers guy above mentioned. Pateryn could basically be a right handed Brandon Manning and that cap hit means nothing to the team next year with MDZ, Schultz, Streit, one of the goalies, VdV, & PEBs all coming off the books.

Sign me up I'll take that. Myers probably starts in the AHL anyway. Sanheim, Ghost, AMac, and Streit have all had to play their off hand this season because we have one RHD on the roster (Gudas) and only one in the pipeline (Myers). I still partially attribute Ghost bad season to him playing the right side and playing with another offensive minded defenseman in Streit which is why they get burnt a lot.
