Leafs aren't really in a position to take on cap without sending cap back in a trade. So what Leafs leave to make it a deal practical?

Leafs can send Biega, Amadio, and Gabriel down to the minors and can afford to send out Engvall in a trade. Technically could have up to 4.75 million in cap space.

Leafs have a realistic 23 man roster now, with 855,000 in in space. I've seen so many Leaf posts where the Leafs acquire a bigger cap player, and to make the roster work they send players to the minors to make a 20 or 21 man roster. Without the cap cheating taxi squad of last year, these reduced rosters don't work.
