Well I have the cap to pay him, so why not.

You are choosing the part of the story you like to put ahead, but Avs offered Landy 5 x 7M but he wants more term, so the Avs offered him 8 x 5,5M. That’s 3M/year the last 3 years, sounds good and fair to me.

So I proposed :

5 x 7M to Landy
5 x 5,5M to Danault

Huge difference.

Landeskog is putting up a ppg and is elite defensively. He's worth far more than 1.5M more than Danault.

Just give Landeskog 7.5-8Mx8 and be done with it.

7Mx5 isn't fair for Landeskog. If Danault gets 5.5 then Landeskog gets 11.

Personally I think Danault is worth 4.5M tops and Landeskog is worth 9M.
