Description

Tougher to play against. Almost $10m left for midseason additions for a run along with 4 - 2nd round draft picks. Sets up the future with all the rfa's. You could technically trade Strome, Chytil some d kids and 2 first and 2 seconds for Eichel and still have cap space with the same roster..... until next year's rfa's. I really like how Goodrow and Blake Coleman play together. Make that part happen at least.

Why in the world would we make that signing after trading Buch, who probably would have got a million more in dollars? Furthermore a signing of Coleman is doing everything that Drury said hes trying to avoid in why he traded Buch... competition for ice time and line security.

Secondly, trading Chytil and Jones for a 3rd defender who is essentially a 2 year rental is absolutely bonkers.

Nedjalcovic got a 3rd and rights to Bernier. I don't think Georgiev gets a 2nd. Especially considering the Leafs bearly have any picks left and next year rumored to be an exceptionally strong draft.

It wasn't so much of what they are giving up but the roster they need to build. I think Buch went because they had 3 top 6 rw for 2 spots. I don't think Kraken do a first for Chytil. He had a few good moves last year but constantly was getting knocked off the puck. He's a big boy too.
