UFA SIGNINGS:

Linus Ullmark (BUF)
I think Ullmark will be heading out of Buffalo. Nedjelkovic contract should be something teams refers to and I think the Leafs will as well. Wouldnt be too suprised if he takes a paycut to be on a winning, or at least better team.

Blake Coleman (TBL)

Bring in someone who knows what it takes. All round solid top 6 winger, should be an excellent replacement for Hyman. His contract is difficult prediciting though, Goodrows latest contract may affect Colemans approach in negotiations. Leafs dont want to commit to term so my guess is that they sign him for a two year deal at 3,850,000. Maybe a little cheap but Toronto is an attractive market to some.

Bogo and Gally stays. Both determined to win in Toronto. Doesnt ask for much. I have big faith in Gally. Bogo brings valuable experience to his young D-partner Rasmus Sandin who looks to explode at NHL level.

TRADES:

Dermott being dealt simply cuz of cap reasons. Wild look to improve left side D after Carson Soucy loss to Seattle. Depth on the blueline isnt good enough to bring a cup to Toronto but this will be taken care of at the deadline. Lets give Robertson and the other young players a chance to prove themselves and then evaluate whos to be traded for roster improvment.

Overall I just feel like doing too much with this team would just destroy it. It is a good team. Tampa got swept then won the cup next season. Not saying Leafs are anything like the lightning but it proves the point that a hungry group of players who just got eliminated too early could and should be a dangerous group of guys.

Dubas will have to work his magic during and before the deadline though to make this team even better.
