When Do Things Change - Ignore Trade Value

Description
Very rough outline, I didn’t really pay attention to the trade value, more so wanted to see what the team composition looked like with more depth guys than superstars.

Obviously there’s things subject to change with trades coming up after the freeze, but I seriously doubt Dubas is going to make sweeping roster changes. As much as “oh but what if Tavares wasn’t hurt” was a factor, our roster composition makes us more vulnerable when there are injuries.

I am sorry but to think Bailey AND Beauvillier AND our only first round pick over the next two years for Marner would ever happen is crazy.

I know you said ignore trade value but I had to put my two cents in.

If you're looking at 100+ points this season (82 games adjusted) for Marner, it's comparable to the sum of point production from a 31 year old Bailey and 24 year old Beauvillier.

I didn't consider the value each player brought to their respective teams, I was curious to see the composition of the Leafs should Marner's point production be spread across two lines.

This makes sense... I like where your head is at. It does seem obvious the Leafs need to make a change like this, or get really lucky on undervalued players. best of luck smile

Dude, he would absolutely be on the top line (hypothetically), haha. I goofed a bit reminiscing about how well Kerfoot and Nylander played together in round one. Our LW depth right now is shockingly bad. Hopefully Robertson's good to go this year (and Amirov next year). If there's no 3C free agent signing our top line LW is... Mikheyev? Oooooof.

I keep getting proven wrong by the Isles - your team plays together really well. I hope we get to have a fun series in the playoffs for the ssssssnake memesssssss.
