Lou has done well to make a lot of cap space, but it’d be a shame to only use it to get older. Landeskog would be a great addition, but betting it all on the biggest UFA on the market never seems to work. Maybe we can balance it out by trading for a younger scoring forward?
While I had to lowball a few contracts here to make this fit, still thought this would be a fun experiment. The two forwards I think the Isles should have the most interest in would be Landeskog and Garland, wanted to see what’d be involved in fitting both on our roster. If you don’t think it’s entirely realistic, that’s fine.
Line 1: Barzal gets Lee back AND a clear upgrade over Eberle. Could be a big season in store for Barzal. Barzy’s never really gotten to work with another fast, dynamic forward, and I think they’d be a great fit together.
Line 2: Ho boy, imagine two great goal scorers in Landy and Nelson being fed by a pretty damn good playmaker in Bailey?
Line 3: Scariest 3rd line in hockey. Some teams would dream to have this as a 2nd line. All three of these guys can shoot and each of them have a good amount of skill.
Anyone looking for a B prospect. I picked Durandeau because he shows promise but will never play on the Isles with their LW depth. Doesn’t have to be this team or this prospect specifically.
