I catually see Bergevin Offer Sheet Petersson and make that deal to force out Vancouver to trade their 1rst with a bad contract to sign both him and Hugues (if they offer sheets for 10m aav, how the f they can sign both)

Yes the habs are gettig a bad player but it's only for one year and he's gone after that. We can now use that 1rst to get somebody good or trade it for better, which I did.

Vancouver isn’t trading their 9th overall to move Eriksson and if even if they did something like this would be better but they still don’t do.

Detroit sends 22 OVR for Vancouver 9 OVR + Eriksson.

I said that's will happened only if the habs (or someone else) offers sheets Petersson or Hugues. They will be desperate and the Habs , who has cap space, can do it pretty easely but will asked for that 1rst, so they can trade it after for Eichel

Petersson can and the Canucks has currently 15 m in cap space... To sign both Petersson and Hugues and some pieces around them

glhf if you're not trading players like Eriksson + 1rst, imagine if Petersson gets offfer sheet at 10.250m, little less than 4 m for hugues???

Let’s say a team has the balls to OS EP. Benning has a week to match & can go over the ceiling by 10% in the OS so it’s not like a immediate action needs to happen. Teams would easily beat that offer for taking Eriksson whom is owed pennies on that contract relative to AAV.

“Dummy” isn’t really necessary here and hinders civil conversations. Plus Habs have a ton going LTIR (Price + Weber).

I think that the price for taking Eriksson bad contract at that moment will be at least a 1rst round pick

I'm not even talking about other contracts.

I don't know if a GM will have the balls to do it (Bergevin could if they lost price), but if it's the case i will love Bergevin to do something like that (it's only one year)

Lol I made an ACGM earlier with the scenario that Pettersson gets an offer sheet. I was able to make the team better even with Petey and Hughes with expensive contracts. Canucks are not as strapped as you think.

So Eriksson is owed 3M more and if he was bought out we’re talking 2M. You don’t think a team like Detroit or NJ wouldn’t want to buy a second round pick for 2M? Not even Andrew Ladd returned a first round pick and he’s 2 years more and 2M more in cash.

If the trade is 2021 1rst van and Eriksson to habs vs 2021 1rst habs would you do it then?

This will be the price IF he doesn't gets offer sheet, if he gets, the teams will not let vancouver any favors

I think to sign both offer sheeted Petersson and Huges will cost a lot of future for Vancouver, they will lost a lot of thing. I don't see vancouver let Petersson goes, but it would cost a lot.

I don’t think so. The Habs pick is 30 OVR and some posters already said no to the one I proposed which was 22 OVR.

I mean i think they will say yes and you no. I think we both have good opinions and keep in mind that this draft is a wildcard for ealmost every pick
