At this point I don't see many scenarios in which the Rangers make any trades before the start of the season. I'd like to see them try and get another scorer via either free agency or a trade, but the limited cap space will make that unlikely. Knowing that Stepan and the Rangers are two million dollars apart in salary talks I believe after arbitration they'll meet in the middle at 6.25 million. For players who many have called to be traded in Glass or Klein I don't see any evidence the Rangers are interested in moving either of them. Also with the supposed forward depth the Rangers seem to have I don't find it very likely the Rangers pick someone else up through free agency.

Think you're right Matt. Rangers like most teams are stuck with what they now starting training camp. Think the Rangers would be wise to go arbitration or maybe a two year contract to Stepan. Come next year the Rangers have to move salary....maybe a defenceman will have to given away just to create cap space.
