People have to stop acting like Seattle is actually going to take Price. Despite the fact that he just led us to the Stanley Cup finals, his contract is not what Ron Francis would want to start a franchise with. Based on the reports I've read, this is the most realistic expansion list I've come up with.

This list obviously leaves a couple notable names exposed. The Carey Price bombshell report that came out tonight shocked a lot of people but I don't think it changes Seattle's plans much. It is already pretty much a lock that Seattle is taking Driedger and signing him to an extension. With their other goalie spot, I think Seattle is probably looking at a younger goalie who can tandem with Driedger (which I expect to be Vanecek from Washington). Pierre LeBrun has reported that the Habs will expose Byron and Drouin. This doesn't come as much of a surprise as Byron is on a pretty hefty deal and Drouin has had a relatively tough time in Montreal. I think, based on the reports that the Habs are letting Danault walk, it makes sense that they protect Armia over him. They may still protect Danault as a sign of loyalty and as levrage but I'd be more inclined to assume Armia will be on the list at 10 AM tomorrow.
