I wouldn't be so sure about the Canucks declining a 1:1 Horvat/Buchnevich swap... Buch is a premier player according to the fancy stats, but Horvat's value is increased because of how scarce top six centers are to trade for. It only makes sense for Vancouver if they believe that Miller can slide back from first line winger to second line center. The step back from Horvat to Miller is a lot smaller than the step forward of adding Buchnevic to the top-six.

Except Buch doesnt play with Panarin, Buch plays with Mika and Kreider/LAF. Buch isnt even usually on the top PP because Strome is playing RW on the PP1.
