Yeah, I figured that, if I really wanted to get accurate with it I could send Kadri and Compher to other teams and send the returns for them plus whatever else, but I just kinda wanted him or Reinhart, so I just shipped off the players who would need to be moved out in order to get one

the only player that would realistically be acceptable from the avs would be newhook

McCabe as a top 4 Dman- can't stay healthy
Kuemper as a #1 goalie- can't stay healthy
Newhook as a #2 center
Bowers as the 4th line center.

I highly doubt they would need to give Newhook, and definitely wouldn't. They have quite a lot of young dman (Barron, Timmins, Helleson), and I don't think that there is anyone else who would offer any better prospects, but I could be wrong.

Avs have the defensive depth to replace McCabe if he ever gets injured. Kuemper is definitely an injury risk, but the avs proved they can succeed with pretty much any goalie, so my bigger worry is Francouz's health and if he can return to form(Grubauer has an injury history as well). Newhook at 2C is risky, but their depth can cover for him when he goes through a through a tough stretch, and if he really doesn't work they can try a rental at the deadline or try Landeskog at center(Takes faceoffs and often plays the position defensively). What is wrong with Bowers at 4C? Seems pretty ready, and I would resign Bellemare, but it sounds like they are moving on from him, and my guess is because Bowers is gonna be 4C

Theres been discussions for holloway + for buch, and while holloway isnt as good, thats why newhook is the starting price.

I haven't seen that anywhere, and would be pretty surprised by that, but if that is true they should 100% do that
