I personally doubt Chicago will get Jones without Dach, I wouldnt trade Dach, i just dont think CBJ will make a deal without. Jones will be in insane demand soon as 5.4 for a top pairing D man whos only 26 will get crazy offers, so again I dont think Chi will et him unless they part with Dach which is a bad idea

Dach is not on the table, per Scott Powers. CBJ has zero leverage with Seth Jones. The return for CBJ is going to way less than what most AGM’s are suggesting.

But he hasn’t said he’ll only sign in Chicago. Even if that’s the case. I really don’t believe every other team would just give up. Those teams believe they can convince him they are a great place to stay and if they offer enough money and term and provide everything he might want. Then he might change his mind and they would have an entire year to do that. If between the draft (assuming they attained him then) and the deadline if they fail they still have a small amount of value to hedge that bet.

I don’t think it’s Chicago and Jones has CBJ by the balls and the CBJ have to take whatever offer Chicago gives because they’re getting 0 without. That’s a huge leap.
