1 top 6F and 2 top 4D but what to do with Copp

Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Description
If Montreal can't sign Danault and if Chevy could convince him to sign.
Chevy trade for Risto.
One year of Suter and pair him with Pionk would be a great 2nd line D.
Unfortunately have to let DeMelo be exposed and taken in the expansion. 3 mil for bottom pairing is too much.
If Heinola and Stanley are off then Beaulieu can step in.
What to do with Copp? I don't think he will sign for what Chevy is willing to give so I would trade him for picks and/or a RHD prospect.

I wouldn't be down with this, tbh.
I'd rather keep DeMelo than Stanley.
PLD will be fine as a 2C, don't need Danault. Spend that money on a winger to fit PLD's style.
I'd rather have a more defensive Dman than Risto.
I do, however, like that second pair a lot.

Unfortunately Suter won't sign for that in Winnipeg and you're giving up too much for Ristolainen.

If Chevy isn't willing to pay Copp then he definitely shouldn't be giving that contact to Danault. Danault isn't good enough offensively to be a 2C and doesn't put up enough points to be worth 5.5 over 5 years. That contract would be an anchor the minute it is signed.

Hey guys- like the honesty but WPG better make at least 2 of the 3 position moves. DeMelo is not top 4 and Copp is not top 6.
