Only problem here is that the Senators are the only team that need another bottom four defenseman less than the Devils. Maybe a trade with the Oilers makes more sense. Gelinas for Yakupov or Larsson for Eberle?

That would be cool, however I do not feel this team would part with Larsson. I think he is the foundation of the defense. I chose The Gelinas for Hoffman trade soley based on the powerplay help. I like a trade for yakupov too! Both can help out the lack of scoring this team has to offer!

I don't think Ottowa or Chicago would accept those trades. Hoffman is a much better player than Gelinas and Shaw is worth more to the Blackhawks than a 3rd round pick. I know Chicago's up against the Cap, but Shaw only costs $2M a year and they'd trade Versteeg or the rights to Kruger before they traded him.
