Sick defence but not nearly enough for Marner. I know leafs fans are starting to hate him but you can get more than that for him.

I had this conversation with a few people and I don't really love the deal but I would take it. If there was a better deal than sure but I would settle for this. And I don't hate Marner I just think we need better cap allocation.

Friedman said that Seth Jones wants no part of Toronto he definitely wont sign an extension there. And what makes you think that Jesper Wallstadt falls to 8th spot when he's pretty much linked to Detroit?

I wasn't aware of the Jones part, but it was more or less the dollar amount I went to for Jones, can be done with a comparable salary. As for Wallstedt I didn't know he was linked to Detroit but I don't know if they take him, I know they need a future goalie but I still think they need another top D prospect or center if beniers falls but I doubt it

why would boston do that trade? Value lines up but it does not fit their needs

A lot depends on who falls, if Eklund or Guenther say fall to #6 Yzerman would take either one. Most insiders have suggested Wallstadt as the most likely to go to Detroit at 6th even though Yzerman has pretty much said he's not interested in a Goalie that high in the draft we shall see in 11 days.

We are looking for a top 4 LD who is defensivly reliable and a shutdown guy I dont think dermott fits the mold of that

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying Dermott is top 4 but I think beside Carlo he could be how Holl was when we put him with Muzzin. If he had someone defensively reliable with him he tends to play more comfortable.

eh I see where your coming from but why would Boston settle for Dermott when there are better options in FA or better options you can get with a package headlined by DeBrusk not to mention you are trading him to a divisional rival that needs a player like him, it just makes no sense imo.

I mean I was going along the lines of Boston resigning hall long term and what may happen with Krejci or his replacement

I'd rather keep debrusk and get rid of Ritchie. Bit of a traffic cone at times and doesn't play with the level of meanness that the the bruins need.
