Holl- No room for him as we need to give our young D chances to grow

Ullmark- Although Campbell has been fantastic in a short sample size, we haven't seen him as a starter over a full season yet. Can't have a question mark in net, Ullmark can share games with him and lighten his load. I wanted a goalie (ullmark) that we could sign more than 1 year because you wouldn't want to go into the 2022 offseason without any goalies on the roster.

Hall- Marner and Matthews have never had a winger that can match their skill level, and they still don't, nevertheless, Hall is extremely talented and would leave Matthews with more chances as the other team would have to respect Hall's shot as well. With the right matchups, this line could be the best in the NHL. Hall would also boost the PP.

Foligno- It's no secret he loves the leafs. He couldn't help get the job last year due to injury, if that sour taste of losing is still in his mouth, he may take a reduced salary for a year as he has already accumulated much wealth over his career.

I left the team with some cap space for deadline acquisitions as they will have a greater understanding of their needs at that time.

Kerfoot- Seattle will take him over Dermott who has regressed since his rookie year. He is a skilled player who is good on the forecheck and has great playmaking abilities. He showed in the playoffs that his seemingly hefty cap hit is fair for what he brings when played the right way
