I've never heard anyone say how good Chiarot's contract is. He's overpaid for a 3rd pairing guy that needs to be carried. Samberg projects as a top 4 guy and is younger, cheaper and has more team control. You'll just have to hold on to Chiarot, because he'll never return what you're asking for here.

As for Getzlaf coming because of Perry, we're not even sure Perry's coming back. And, even if he his, I didn't see Getzlaf go to Dallas last year to play with him or move his NTC this year to come to Mtl and reunite with him. I really doubt that where Perry is playing has any influence on what Getzlaf is doing with his life.

when we signed lehkhonen we thought he would become a better player than he is right now gusev may not be as good as drouin but drouin stuggled bc of the pressure and they put him at the center he was never on a stable line gusev will play on the third and is a low risk high reward signing perry probably wants to stay worst case well sign another veteran instead of him
