My guess is that Sam is not moved unless 9OA is coming back the other way.

It’s a strange one for sure. On one hand, his season was exceptional based on his supporting cast. On the other hand, advanced stats suggest that his finishing rate is not sustainable based on his previous work. I don’t think he is necessarily worth a top ten pick, but that may be what is needed to get him out of buffalo.

I don't think BUFF accepts but the Winnipeg trade is interesting. Winnipeg could definitely use some improvements on the back end and Schmidt would provide some of that, Winnipeg could also lose Appleton in expansion and he would be an upgrade to Vancouver's bottom 6. If Schmidt has indeed asked for a trade I probably make this trade if I'm Vancouver, if he hasn't I probably don't as Vancouver's D is currently their biggest area of weakness and Schmidt was their best overall defenseman last year.

You can’t put four average to below average pieces and try and swap it for a good one.

Also wouldn’t Winnipeg have to use a spot on Schmidt, so don’t see why they do that.

41st pick
Lind
Joulevi

whos in the canuck system?

Sam reinhart trade is made by teams about to win the cup, not by teams trying to make the playoffs

whos in the canuck system?

cancuks would get someone at 9 and still have some decent guys in the system but no blue chip guys. The future is really now with this team as most of the guys who were considered prospects a year or two ago would be on the roster in this scenario. would need to stock the cupboard over the next few years but Vancouvers future is definitely not killed but moving 2 guys and a 2nd

if jim could get a 25 goal scorer for nothing of significance off the roster thats a great move. im starting to think you dont know much about hockey. the canucks still have one of the best futures in the league with this move. id rather have young guys in the nhl than in the system

I am starting to think you don’t know anything about Jim, Vancouver Canucks, Reinhart or hockey.
1. Jim has said he was big wingers that skate and have character. Doesn’t scream Sam nohart.
2. Vancouver doesn’t have the cap space
3. You know nothing about Reinhart other than his y2y stats
4. Top 6 winger is not a priority for this team right now

hes said he wants to add a top 6 singer but i agree defence needs to be addressed aswell. reinhart is from van and said he wants to come to the west coast so van is the most natural fit. canucks tried to trade with florida to get the 1st overall pick to select reinhart in 2014 so clearly jimbo likes him. and i showed how you can make the cap work with the right moves

You need to research Reinhart more.
He is not a fit for this team.

nucks could use a winger who can put the puck in the net and play with top end players. nucks need 3 lines that can score and can play a responsible 2way game. i know reinhart isnt the best defensively but playing with bo or jt would help with that. nucks could also target garland for ARZ and probably get him for cheaper but i like reinhart more personally
