I like the idea of the Killorn trade, but we might have to give up a bit more to the team retaining the money (in this case Detroit).

Also, maybe its a better idea to go after a more "available" guy like Yanni Gourde. I'd say he probably fits nicer and it allows us to replace Kerfoot at 3C, since Haula at 1.5 doesn't seem very realistic. Just a thought.
Joronto a aimé ceci.

I believe Killorn is more availble imo, and has ties to the Toronto area, and would waive his nmc I believe. I agree Probaly would have to give up more in terms of a higher pick or more prospects. But gourdes to pricey imo, and Haula had a down year, a couple years in Toronto to build back up his value on a checking line with some pp would allow him for a chance at one final pay day. But I can understand why you think it’s unrealistic. It factors into him betting on himself and Toronto as a team.

I like the Killorn move very much as well.

Maybe you're right with Haula: could try Liljegren instead of Larsson to spend more money on Haula. At the trade deadline Toronto could aquire another D for a deep Playoffrun.

Yes, Gourdes is too pricy and you have to add a better prospect, to get the Killorn deal done IMO. Anderson, Hallander, Abruzzese or SDA for instance.

Even if he had a down year and due to the flat cap it is difficult, to sign a player at this age for a cheaper contract with a new team. If he will not be able to show up, he is pretty much done getting good money at some point of his career. I guess, the risk is to high and there should be teams, which offer him more than 1.5 M.
