Wolf is a top 5 goalie prospect, why would we trade him for C prospect and a 2nd?

Flames dont consider that. Wolf is our future and we don't need left defense men in our system

if i remember correctly i read somewhere a few weeks back that calgary management doesn't value him at what he's worth.
he's certainly a top 7 goalie prospect, and i don't know if the management values him as such. the trade was a bit of a lowball offer but more could be sent over. i fully agree that this is barely in the same world as wolf's value, i just found it enticing if they don't value him highly.

im a massive fan of his and if i was calgary i wouldn't settle for anything less than a bonafide top 6 forward and a 1st in return, at least.
but if these rumours are true and the devils cld snag him for less than that (albeit more than this that i've offered) i'd love it

Why would they not? He came to Stockton for a short AHL stint and was excellent (after 1 really bad first game). He just won WHL goalie of the year for the 2nd year in a row. Really curious where you heard that because this is band new info to me.

He's a B prospect but I agree Calgary would decline
