Bellows is a middle six player. He’s not going to make it on the fourth line but he’d do well on the second or third. He can play in Bridgeport and fill in for injured forwards, not bad for development. Why do you say Trotz dislikes him? He played good until he played bad, so he got taken out. Then he got another chance and he wasn’t able to move the needle, so he didn’t play.

This from Bellows recent prospect rankings by Scott Wheeler
"I suspect Bellows’ NHL outcomes are directly tied to his even-strength linemates and his power-play usage. If he ends up playing with plug-and-play guys on a third line, I’m just not sure he’s aware enough, nor quick enough, to create his own opportunities. But it’s not hard to imagine him thriving while playing within himself as the third-best player on a top-six line who scores regularly on one of the two PPs and holds his own at evens with a passing center."

He needs players who can get him the puck. The kid literally scored 3 goals in 2 games with Barzal and after one bad game Trotz took him off. Making mistakes are a part of the learning curve.

He will not play in Bridgeport, he needs waivers and most teams would put in a claim for him. I would like to see that happen tbh, he's already in his D+6 season! He's not playing in the AHL for the rest of his career.

Wilde (who looks like he won't amount to much) + 2 2nd's is good enough to take 8M+ in dead weight salary. The Wings would demand a 1st

Plug and play on the third line? It’s Pageau and Palmieri. These guys are both second liners.

Pageau isn’t a passing center and Palmieri is a pure shooter. Bellows needs someone who can get him the puck.

You are wrong about Pageau. Pageau is a passer that can shoot. Palmieri isn’t a pure shooter either, he passes if it’s the better play.

Pageau is in the the 64th percentile for goals per 60 min over the last 3 years (above average). His primary assists per 60 Is in the 17th percentile among all NHL forwards (well below average). That is one knock on pageau throughout his career. Palmieri is in the 79th percentile for goals per 60 and 19th percentile for primary assists per 60.

You’re right, both are terrible at passing and should be axed from the team. Then we should trade away Beauvillier to give Bellows a spot in the top 6.

Yes they are both terrible passers, great finishers though. Not sure why you're getting defensive. The right move would be to move Lee to play with Pageau and have Beauvillier and Bellows as the top 6 lw , but that won't happen and he'll probably be traded.

Lee moved to the third line? He’s a 40 goal scorer on a team that’s not the islanders.

Trotz rolls 4 lines anyways, Lee can fit on any line
