The idea of this roster build is to see a no Ladd LTIR together with Aho being taken in the ED scenario -
it is risky to sign Beau on a one year deal, but it then allows them to sign a proper extension in January. They let Bailey, Nelson, and Eberle go into their walk year and they are doing the same with Pulock.
The same goes for Sorokin
Zajac and Greene take league minimum to finish careers with Lou and to stay in the metro area.
Leddy could be moved to a deal that looks similar to what Columbus did with Murray.
Goligoski @ 2-2.5 AAV - a good vet, eats a ton of minutes - according to Staple Lou was looking at him during the deadline. A move like that could save 3 m to give to Beau and Sorokin to secure them longer than a season or maybe even resign Casey.
It is not ideal and I am advocating for this type of offseason - it is mainly for the purpose of a look at the "what if...".
