Description
I would assume this isn't enough but KK shows up come playoff time and still show big upside, Lehky is always reliable and Harris shows great development and really high upside in the NCAA and would become Dallas's best defensive prospect not named Thomas Harley (who also won't be considered a prospect anymore this year).

Let me know your thoughts.

Only way you get Hintz is if it’s for Caufield or Suzuki

Yup your right that is not enough, Hintz is a legit top 6 center that can do it all. Don't see a contending team like Dallas moving him.

And 100% dumb 🤷‍♂️
People can say Lucic would cost Suzuki and being serious
But realistically Suzuki >>>>> Hintz

Suzuki isn’t that better than Hintz. Hintz had a major injury which requires surgery this offseason and still had a better PPG than Suzuki this year. They’re both without a doubt the best forwards on their respective teams.

If Dallas doesn’t get something very interesting (when I say very interesting I mean holy overpay) for their best player this season than they certainly aren’t moving him.

i wouldn't even trade poehling for hintz and you're out here treating a 3rd liner like he's the next big thing.

Yeah, if Kotkaniemi wouldn't work as a starting point there's no way a deal would ever get done, even in my imagination. Totally understand since Hintz is a stud.

Right now, Hintz has shown to be the better player in the regular season but Suzuki's killing it in the playoffs, he's younger and his upside is higher. There's definitely an argument on both sides.

3rd liner???? Hintz was over a point-per-game and played part of the season injured. Dude can be elite if he stays healthy.

I didn’t state that Hintz was better than Suzuki I just said that getting Hintz will cost a holy overpay which is Suzuki+. Same scenario if a team wanted Suzuki you’d want way more than he is worth. Same thing goes for Hintz for Dallas, if we don’t get something that says this will change the franchise around than we won’t part ways with our best forward.

Yeah I'm not saying you did. Just telling the other Habs fan that there's an argument to be made on either side about the value of Suzuki vs Hintz. Neither franchise (or their fans) wants to let a player go that they know can perform at an elite level in their respective jersey.

Ok fair enough
But Suzuki is 21 yo and Hintz 24 yo and they are not playing with the same team/system/players
Dallas is a way better team than Montreal and Hintz is playing with better players. But I get it, it WOULD take Suzuki+ to trade him but not saying it would be fair or Suzuki is worse 🤝

i know lmao. im just triggering stars fans. hes good, but hes not good enought to be worth that package. KK is 20 and is a 3rd overall pick. he can be as good if not better than hintz

But why are we trading for a center when we're losing all our LW in the offseason? Focus should be to either trust Poehling enough to shove him in a middle six LW spot or to go out and get replacements on our left side.

This doesn't stop Poehling from being tested at LW? And there would still be room for a UFA LW
