and no one is saying he's a bust. Clearly he can turn it around.
But A. when you hit the NHL level you are no longer a prospect. You are wearing a sweater, you can call him a rookie if you want, but that's as far as that goes.
B. what you do at the NHL level is what matters. You do nothing with it and that's that.
Truth is guys are much more likely to have a career like McCann or Sprong than be some great player. The ....oh look he has all the tools and he did so well in those other leagues....but can't manage to pull it all together and make an actual impact.
That just is what it is.
No ones knocking the guy, but don't start on the he's so great till he actually does something with it. Because as of yet, he hasn't. He's still young, maybe he can actually change that. But that's said over and over again about a lot of guys.
