Why would Detroit make this deal? And give away a pick. Include Washington's #2 in 2022 and forget the Vegas pick. Griess is a very good goalie!

Griess is a back up on most teams. Stecher is a solid 3/4 on most teams. Samsonov is a long term solution for DET in goal, and Ellers / Orlov will give them stability on a very young team. Honestly, WSH is the one over paying trying to make cap space. No need to change the picks.

I'm curious on which player is the cap dump? Eller is an amazing 3rd C and Orlov isn't as bad as people make him out to be.

Case of needing to find room for Ovechkin’s $10M plus and shaking up the line-up while still having Cup window open. Appears there is solid match where Wings seek young goalie and have cap space willing to use to acquire one. Just my proposal, I’m sure not likely to get done.
