If that’s the best they can do for Debrusk better off putting him back on his natural LW side and see if he bounces back after 2 injuries, 2 positive Covid tests and depression brought him down. Can always trade him for garbage, why rush?
Signing a guy pushing 30 for 7 years is not helping them get younger.
Ritchie will be exposed to Seattle. His QO is 2m. He might get close to 3 but not that kind of term. Trade candidate if not selected.
Reilly LD. Montour RD, not exactly a replacement, they don’t need a RD.
That's actually quite a generous trade offer for DeBrusk, his trade value dropped off significantly over the past two seasons. As of now, Boston will look to simply shed his contract and move on judging by his coach's comments.
Nuge turned 28 this year, the contract would take him through 35. Krejci just turned 35, Bergeron is turning 36. That gives them a much younger, high-quality C signed for the long-term. Krejci and Bergeron have continued to perform at a high level but their play is bound to drop off in the next couple of seasons, while Boston has nothing to mitigate this risk.
Ritchie will get between $2.85-$3M in my opinion, and 3 years is a fair term but I can see 2 years as well.
Montour is an RD who can play first or 2nd unit on the PP and can play both left and right side.
