Rather the flames just keep gaudreau. None of those pieces are really that enticing.

Maybe if there was a swap for the calgary 2021 first and Nj 2021 first. Then swapped in a player like zacha.

But I think Calgary is going to try and stay competitive. The only reason Gaudreau gets moved is if they can't resign him or they move him laterally in a hockey trade.

Devils would never have to add to move him since (a) at $4.5 million, Subban is good value; and (b) they have tons of cap space.

Subban at $4.5 million is still way too much. He's a nightmare in his own end and what was a strength, his offensive upside, has cratered the last few years

With the flat cap, teams can't afford to take on $4.5 million for a guy who's a declining asset. All of those Instagram workout videos aren't making a difference lol

Not worth $9 million, but plays top-4 minutes, moves puck well, and is only guy on out team that consistently gets shot on net from point. Ty Smith does it well his toe-drags and deception, but not a hard shot. Seversons shot has been inconsistent.
