I like Burns but I don't see the Flyers making that deal. A 'retooling' (or whatever this team can be called) team isn't going to trade a 25 year old top line RW for a top d-man who is 5 years older and a solid 2nd/3rd liner. That first line would be filthy though.

The good thing with Burns going to the Flyers (other than him being the quintessential Flyer in my view, as a Sharks fan I concede,) is that he can play as an elite power forward in the league, or if the prospects aren't quite getting the job done, can play at defense.

He's an absolute wrecking ball at forward and his 5-on-5 even strength play since 2013 / 60 minutes is 6th best in the entire league.

As someone who primarily watches Eastern games, I wasn't aware of his #'s (looking it up kind of surprised me tbh). It's definitely a fair deal value-wise which is what you said in the title, I just don't feel like it fits the direction of the Flyers. We should (hopefully) be good in 4-5 years when Provorov/Sanheim/Ghost/Morin/Hagg are all hitting their primes and while Voracek would be 29/30, Burns would be 35 and on the decline. I tired making a counter point with both 5v5 & powerplay stats but every stat I tried to use Burns ended up beating Jake in anyway neutral

I definitely respect that. Voracek's just one of my favorite players.
