Best Team Under Cap No ELCs

Description
I didn't want a team of just skill because that team would never win in the playoffs. I wanted a little bit of grit in the team.

I think the team still might be a little undersized and might lack some grit, but I think it's the most likely possible team to win the cup.

Pros:
Skilled out the wazoo
Unreal 3 centers
4th line of grinders

Cons:
Undersized
Lack of playoff experience
Top 6 lacks tough hardnosed players besides Marchand
Need a tougher 5/6 D combo

Honestly Mackinnon should be in here over McDavid. I don’t see a massive difference between the two and you also save 6 mil in cap with Mackinnon which allows you to improve the team in other areas. At least have Mackinnon over Drai

not bad suggestion but McDavid still is just light years better than Mackinnon so that's what drove that. And tbh I think Draisaitl is better than Mackinnon. It would save 2.2 mil to go from Drai to Mack, but then where would that cash go? A 5th/6th D?

When you’re trying to create a best team under the cap, every dollar counts. And I respectively disagree about your assessment of Mackinnon in comparison to McDavid and Draisaitl but yea there’s really no bad options.
